<KBI ACETECH CO., LTD.> (hereinafter referred to as “KBI ACETECH”) has established the following Privacy Policy in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act to protect users’ personal information and rights and to address privacy-related concerns effectively.

KBI ACETECH will notify users of any amendments to this Privacy Policy through a website notice or individual notification.

○ This Privacy Policy has been effective since July 1, 2017.

1. Purpose of Processing Personal Information

KBI ACETECH processes personal information for the purposes described below. Personal information will not be used for purposes other than those stated below. If the purpose of use changes, prior consent will be obtained.

A. Processing Customer Inquiries and Complaints

Personal information is processed to verify the identity of the person submitting an inquiry, review the details of the inquiry, provide notifications or contact the person for a factual investigation, and communicate the results.

3. Outsourcing of Personal Information Processing

① KBI ACETECH may outsource certain personal information processing activities to ensure efficient operations.

② When entering into an outsourcing agreement, KBI ACETECH specifies in writing the responsibilities required under Article 25 of the Personal Information Protection Act, including prohibition of processing personal information for purposes unrelated to the outsourced work, implementation of technical and administrative safeguards, restrictions on subcontracting, management and supervision of service providers, and liability for damages. KBI ACETECH also supervises service providers to ensure that personal information is processed securely.

③ Any changes to the outsourced services or service providers will be disclosed without delay through this Privacy Policy.

4. Rights and Obligations of Data Subjects and How to Exercise Them

① Data subjects may exercise the following privacy-related rights at any time:

1. Request access to personal information
2. Request correction of inaccurate information
3. Request deletion of personal information
4. Request suspension of processing

② These rights may be exercised in writing, by email or by fax using Form No. 8 of the Enforcement Rules of the Personal Information Protection Act. KBI ACETECH will respond without delay.

③ If a data subject requests correction or deletion of personal information, KBI ACETECH will not use or disclose the relevant information until the requested action has been completed.

④ These rights may also be exercised through a legal representative or an authorized person. In such cases, a power of attorney prepared using Form No. 11 of the Enforcement Rules of the Personal Information Protection Act must be submitted.

5. Categories of Personal Information Processed

KBI ACETECH processes the following personal information:

1. Processing customer inquiries and complaints

- Required information: Email address, mobile phone number and name
- Optional information: None

6. Destruction of Personal Information

KBI ACETECH destroys personal information without delay when the purpose of processing has been fulfilled.

A. Destruction procedure

Information provided by users is transferred to a separate database or stored separately in document form after its intended purpose has been fulfilled. It is retained for the period required by internal policies and applicable laws and then destroyed. Personal information transferred to a separate database will not be used for any purpose other than that required by law.

B. Destruction period

When the retention period expires, personal information will be destroyed within five days of the expiration date. If personal information is no longer required because its processing purpose has been fulfilled, the relevant service has been discontinued or the business has ended, it will be destroyed within five days of the date on which it is determined to be unnecessary.

C. Destruction method

Information stored electronically is permanently deleted using technical methods that prevent recovery. Printed documents are shredded or incinerated.

7. Measures to Protect Personal Information

In accordance with Article 29 of the Personal Information Protection Act, KBI ACETECH implements the following administrative, technical and physical safeguards:

1. Regular internal audits

Internal audits concerning the secure handling of personal information are conducted quarterly.

2. Limiting and training employees who process personal information

Only designated personnel are authorized to process personal information, and appropriate training and management measures are implemented.

3. Establishing and implementing an internal management plan

An internal management plan has been established and implemented to ensure the secure processing of personal information.

4. Technical measures against hacking and other threats

KBI ACETECH installs security software and performs regular updates and inspections to prevent personal information from being leaked or damaged through hacking, computer viruses or similar threats. Systems are located in areas where external access is controlled and are monitored and protected using technical and physical safeguards.

5. Encryption of personal information

Passwords and other important personal information are encrypted during storage and management. Additional security measures, including file encryption, transmission encryption and file-locking functions, are used where appropriate.

6. Retention and protection of access records

Access records for personal information processing systems are retained and managed for at least six months. Security measures are implemented to prevent alteration, theft or loss of access records.

7. Access restrictions

Access to databases that process personal information is controlled through the granting, modification and revocation of access rights. Unauthorized external access is also controlled using intrusion prevention systems.

8. Physical access control

Separate physical storage locations are used for personal information, and access-control procedures are established and operated for those locations.

KBI ACETECH will respond to and process such inquiries without delay.

9. Amendments to the Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies from its effective date. If any provisions are added, deleted or amended due to changes in applicable laws or company policies, notice will be provided through the website at least seven days before the changes take effect.
